A truck stop? We can't even figure out a way to expand Gas House Pike to deal with the inevitable traffic flow but now we want to add tractor trailers down Main Street to stop at a corner truck stop. Great plan.

To much traffic, and not enough lanes/roads to handle the traffic we already have on 144!! I moved out this way in New Market west to be away from Frederick and now look that’s what it’s turning into. I will have to move after 15years in this area to be able to enjoy what I loved about New Market and why I moved here in the 1st place. No one cares about the people anymore. Everything is about money.

I am concerned about the additional traffic coming through town. I do not feel as though the infrastructure can handle that .

I recognize the need for a gas station on that side of town; I am just concerned about the size of this one and the fact that there will be truck parking available. We are encouraging our middle school children to walk to friends houses, and a truckstop could be dangerous .

Are you aware this is right next to a daycare and on the corner of a neighborhood filled with children...school buses galore. What a terrible idea! Stop this madness.

We do not need a gas station of this magnitude in our small community.

Why would you put a truck stop near a school and neighborhood full of kids? Terrible idea!

A moderately sized gas station would be fine but a large station with overnight truck parking will create congestion, noise, traffic accidents, and other issues that are unwelcome in a community already facing increased residential traffic and insufficient roads infrastructure.

Its not even off an exit. Not sure how they would even really benefit from trucks and they are the last thing New Market needs. Way too many accidents on Main Street as it is.

Downtown New Market can not handle the additional trailers up and down main street. Even the other side of 144 will be bogged down with school and new community traffic. Additional truck traffic is not sustainable. It is also next to a daycare.

unnecessary traffic that will disrupt the community.

Why would we want to increase that type of traffic in a pedestrian area?

This gas station will bring heavy traffic to our small town and I am against it going in at that location.
