This proposed zoning change would be an unmitigated disaster and would radically change, for the worse, the character of this entire area. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!" What developer is really behind this??? Go find someplace else for high density housing. Enough of developer greed!!!! This area was zoned R-1 for a reason-leave well enough alone!!!

This is not good! On top of this the WSDOT wants to put in a connector road from Gravelly Lake to Tillicum and take out 4 homes in TCGC as well as take out part of the golf course. Stop the madness!!!

10 homes on 25,000sf lots on this property is appropriate for the Gravelly lake neighborhood, and they all should be designed to enhance not detract from surrounding properties.
33 homes on this property is totally inappropriate for this neighborhood.

The City of Lakewood, Planning Department ought to reconsider their decision on rezoning on Gravelly Lake Drive. I believe they may have over-stepped their understanding of WAC 365-197-050, Criteria to analyze consistency of project actions. The area that the City of Lakewood is desiring to re-zone is in a historic section of Lakewood and great wisdom ought to be applied to their future plans for developing and or re-zoning this area. My message to the Planning Department is to be, “slow to speak and slow act.” The area ought to only be designated for large single family lots in following the existing pattern of this area.
