I concur with all of the comments I've seen so far - this area was zoned R-1 for many good reasons. Those same reasons remain just as relevant today. Please retain the R-1 zoning.

Good catch, and cudos to whoever saw this and decided to take action to preserve Lakewood's character. Our vision for Lakewood should always take priority over that of the Puget Sound Regional Council and other similar groups trying to force their population growth models on us. What's up with our Planning Commission?

This is a miss guided initiative on behalf of the city planners and planning commission. As a community we should not be compelled to conform to the GMA if it negatively effects our community. I believe this intistive does and the other density plans should be pursued around the Town Center Area!

what a joke! just what we need is 33 crap homes cramed onto gravelly! the area was zoned that way for a reason!!! Not to mention what it will do to property values in the area! people around american lake and gravelly lake have worked very long and hard to develop and keep beautiful one of the last nice areas in lakewood!!! our aquifers are already at an all time low! look at the lake levels!! maybe what is needed is the name of the idiot stick that brought such a dumb idea to the table! I prey someone has the guts to stand up to these developers! do not think that the informed voters are not watching this and the people involved ! Future elections can be brutal!
