This is not the way to go about encouraging healthy eating habits. I spend ~$320 a semester on groceries I get elsewhere and I am eating much better than I would if I spent those funds at the bistro. Requiring students to have this $600 charge card would make access to food and other needs more burdensome, not easier.

Ridiculous. MCAD’s cafeteria is tiny and all of the dorms have fully functioning kitchens. As someone with food allergies, I can’t even eat in the bistro. There’s no reason this should be mandatory.

Having it as an option is great, but to require it of students is classist and further restricts housing and attendance opportunities to low income students and students with dietary restrictions.

I like the bistro as much as the next guy, but forcing students to cough up another $600 for an unnecessary expense is absolutely ludicrous. We pay to live in dorms with kitchens, if we wanna use the bistro we'll go there, but theres no way I'd drop that amount of money there each semester.

As a parent, we have put money in the food account for our student for an occasional convenience. Does the data of on campus college students really justify that amount of money? I woukd be okay with a $100 /semester requirement or at leadt extended hours for the Bistro.

I was a resident student at MCAD my freshman year and hardly ever used the building's cafeteria. I relied on much more affordable options of buying my food from the grocery stores. I think it's outright malicious to force resident students to pay $600 for the cafeteria they may not use otherwise
