I have been living here for 22 years. When I moved here, I moved out into the country. What a shame......

Tax hikes are ridiculous. We need stop this immediatly. We moved here because of low taxes but now it keeps on going up. Where will it end? Lawmakers will need to find an immediate solution.

THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN THE SENIOR COMMUNITIES, OF WHICH I AM ONE, INSIST ON RETURNING TO POWER THE SAME GROUP THAT HAS CREATED THE TAX BURDEN PROBLEM.

a strong ditto to most all that has already been said, but why do we think these local politicians will change their stripes and do the right thing after all these years? we should be demanding a state investigation into the inappropriate use of taxpayer funds including a full audit...haha, I kid myself, it will never happen....sadly, we are slaves to a corrupt system on all levels! Please stop new constructions so that the existing house will get value. We are feeling like got stuck buying houses in Monroe.
House values are declining compare to other town ships and taxes are going up. So it's becoming to stay here. We need to reduce taxes please takes necessary actions to bring taxes down to year 2000.

Feb 04, 2017 Totally agree with the statement in this petition. Monroe is getting overcrowded now and schools are already packed. Most residents are at a point that we cannot take another tax hike for new school and extension. When I moved in 2011 my home taxes around 14400
Now I am paying 19000 it is too much in 5year
My taxes raise almost 5000 thousand:(

Totally agree with the statement in this petition. Monroe is getting overcrowded now and schools are already packed. Most residents are at a point that we cannot take another tax hike for new school and extension.
