We moved to this community 15 years ago. Our taxes have more than doubled since then. Since the reassessmant, the tax rate increases are significant each year. The township needs to implement better planning for expansion and also find alternative sources to tax revenues.

I moved here just over 2 years ago because of the beautiful openness and now that's disappearing. Don't let this town and area become what so many of central New Jersey's towns become. We may need 'rateables' to support the taxes but we don't need more housing developments that just cause everyone's taxes to skyrocket. I don't want to move again; I want to stay in Monroe. Stop the building of new homes!

I grew up in this town, I remember the open land, we didn't even have a high school, I stayed here because I liked it and raised my kids here, a nice affordable town to live in. NOT ANY MORE, I'm gonna have to move because I cannot afford to pay the sky rocketing taxes and to be honest I don't get a damn thing for all those taxes I pay. The Police don't even do their job any more. I'm so saddened by what the Great Town of Monroe has become.

I am pleased Monroe township residents have finally realized what the consequences of these new developments would have on our property tax liability. I went and complained 2 years ago at a council meeting. I was the only one their. Thank you John for starting this!!

When we started living in Monroe tour taxes were less than $5,000. How they are over $10,000 and we have NO Children. Stop building or we will be forced to move out of state where the taxes are 1/4 the price of Monroe.

We should require all Builders to pay a substantial surcharge to the Township for each unit built. The funds will be applied to the School Budget.

Better late than never. Very poor planning. What had happened with this rampant building can not be undone. The builders & politicians are just in it for one reason.

property taxes in Monroe never end. Monroe has built big homes that house four and five children from one home. That resident should pay taxes by the child.

Senior communities cannot continue supplementing the tax base to build school upon school. The current administration in Monroe is following in the corrupt footsteps of the previous administration. Somethings gotta give!!
