We need many more signatures to stand up to P&Z.There are 6 gas stations within 3.9 miles on hwy 22. from two blocks west of the Tchefuncte river to the Fresh Market shopping Center. How many more parcels of land on hwy 22 are zoned for gas stations?
The P&Z need to stick to the Regulations and STOP GIVING INTO BIG COMPANIES !!!!

UPDATE: As of 8/19/17, we have 982 signatures. The matter will go up for a vote at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on 9/12/2017. The property IS zoned for a gas station so the only issue is: will or will not P & Z grant the variances requested by Race Trac? Our best chance is the Oak Trees. The station can't be built without cutting the Trees. Sign this petition. Also send an email to [email protected]. J
ust say that you are opposed to the Race Trac development and request that P &Z STICK TO CITY REGULATIONS AND NOT GRANT THE VARIANCES!

Mandeville Hwy 22 is already looking like Veterans Memorial Blvd. We don't
need this. Why not redevelop the empty shopping centers we already have.

Please do not allow Race Trac to build on Hwy 22. I am a native Mandeville resident and our town has drastically changed through the years. Let's put a stop to the added traffic and Metairie feel of our home town.

One of Mandeville water supply wells is located less than a mike from this propose site. Any substantial leak or runoff on petroleum products could adversely effect the quality of our supply.

The traffic congestion on Hwy 22 is absolutely terrible, has not been properly addressed and putting a gas station on Hwy 22 would make matters so much worse!!

Stick to the Mandeville requirements and don't allow variances for an unnecessary gas station. Please don't cause more congestion on Hwy 22 and danger to enter and exit that area. Accidents will sky rocket!
