Stop Puppy Mills in Arkansas

This is very much needed in Arkansas

Thanks to Rep. Sorvillo for sponsoring this much-needed legislation to reduce animal abuse by unscrupulous breeders.

I have seen first hand how bad these puppy mills can be. They must be stopped.

We are the last - or one of the last - state in this country to NOT have a puppy mill ban. We are way behind in recognizing and stopping the horrid abuse of helpless, innocent pets. PLEASE help prevent animal cruelty by supporting this legislation. End this embarrassing statistic for our beloved state.

Thank you for all your hard work. Arkansas needs this so badly and a harsher penalty in cases of animal abuse as well.

As an Arkansas resident I am very concerned about our lack of regulations regarding puppy mills and am strongly against them. Commercial breeders should be held at a standard just as other businesses are. I'm honestly embarrassed our state is so behind on regulations regarding this matter.

Jim Sorvillo is acting just like a over regulatory democrat. He is in a very urban part of Arkansas and his only purpose with this bill is to make the lives of farmers struggling to pay bills to have an even more impossible task. Some farmers sell a few dogs just to help make it this tough economy. Sorvillo is acting just like a democrat in trying to expand the size of the goverment needlessly with more taxes and penalties on a few farmers who may already have a USDA Licence for dog breeding.

Stop puppy mills.

All puppy mills are horrible. Every state needs to abolish them. Arkansas needs to be a leader by doing the right thing. Quit letting the Farm Bureau control what happens in our state in regards to animal welfare. It's just wrong!!!
