This type of facility would be a detriment to my business. This is not the type of facility that should be in the mainstream community retail area.

The area of Laurel and Honore is not an appropriate location for a county maintenance facility. This area is finally starting to look as a nice entrance to Nokomis.

Facilities like the mentioned do not belong in a residential, newly developing neighborhood. There are plenty of commercially zoned areas of Sarasota County that better fit a police fleet maintenance facility e.g. Seaboard Park in Venice.

Please do not allow a projects such as this be put it right in the "Gateway" to our community. Can it be moved it to Knights Trail closer to the Landfill and Gun range? There are already county facilities there. There must be many, many alternatives that would work just as well or even better.

This project has the potential of creating an eyesore in what otherwise wins a real estate tract that emphasizes retail and residential.
