Putting an oyster farm on the strand at cruit would destroy the natural beauty of this island. I'm not too sure who granted the official permission for this project , who ever did doesn't know cruit and didn't consult with the locals who live here summer and winter , and certainly this will not happen without a serious fight

The plan for the oyster farm is terrible. To spoil the landscape is unthinkable.

I'm appalled that the first time local residents - whom will be most affected by the placement of such a farm find out after approval has been given.
No prior public consultation, no environmental impact study undertaken, no opportunity for residents to have comment, never mind the chance to oppose such a scheme.
Underhanded, sharp practice that will devastate a local area and community.
I was brought up in this area and return to family every chance we get. It is an area of natural beauty that will be decimated by these beds.
This scheme should be stopped and disallowed immediately.

I'm a local this cannot be granted to an Italian born Dublin based business woman. She knows nothing of the area or the impact.

This is my home beach completely object to its natural beauty being taken by these oyster farms that will reduce and destroy the beaches significantly for a small financial return to a few people in retrospect.

This is shocking would this woman build an oyster farm near her house in Dublin or her family/holiday home in Italy I right.... i don't think so, I'm sure she'd use all her power and money to stop it happening on her door step. I get butterflies every time I drive into Cruit island when I go there for my holidays with my family 2-3 times a year but how will it make me feel if this goes ahead now knowing that my kids won't have as much fun with no more swimming or jumping off the bridge and memories to share with their children as I've done with mine. Please please please don't let this happen.
