We are requesting that The Township of Toms River Planning Board postpone any decisions made on “Project Freedom”. We are requesting that The Township of Toms River hears all facts from the surrounding neighbors of said “Project Freedom” Project Freedom is to be built at 2215 Massachusetts ave, block 164, and lot4 in the Township of Toms River. It is adjacent to a 68 unit owner occupied homes, The Woods at Massachusetts. It is to consist of 72 low and moderate COAH housing. Let it be known that the said land was purchased by the Township of Toms River in 2003 and had been dedicated to the OPEN SPACE ACT. It was also dedicated to have a park built on the site.
The Township of Toms River Planning Board is still ignoring our concerns about the illegal bait and switch on this Open Space land. We are digging into the records to expose exactly how they think they can ignore the promised park and shove this project down our throats.
April 13, 2013
The Toms River Planning Board is finally starting to feel the heat from our movement. We are exposing their blatant disregard for the Open Space Act and they cannot ignore our community any longer.

We were promised a park years ago! Stop ruining our neighborhood with more traffic and high density housing. Listen to the people who actually live here.

Ridiculous. We already have enough traffic coming through Mass Ave and the schools are packed. Keep the open space like you said you would back in 2003.
