Use community halls or a church, or alternatively swap round different schools so that it's not the same one being used all the time.

Church halls and community centres could be used. Children's education is very important. Disruption of lessons should be minimal.

Inchinnan primary should never be closed for polling , as we have the community centre/ bowling club & Masonic in the doorstep

There are Scout Huts and church halls that should be used - not primary schools. An absolute nightmare for working parents. Especially when there are last minute General Elections called!!!

So, parents can get a fine if they take their kids on holiday during term time but primary school children can miss school for elections?!

Rediculous our primary gets shut and right across the road is a community centre!! Surely that's a better place to use than shutting a school for a day! Use your heads !

Totally agree, struggling with child care as it is without another day of school off.

The children's education should not have to suffer each time there is an election. My son's school is used every time for local and general elections.

i think this is completely ridiculous. There are plenty of community centres etc where this could take place. Kids are never in school with the amount of holidays they get. Just because school is off doesnt mean i can get off my work. Makes things more difficult for working parents and less time for education

Parents are getting fined for taking children on holiday, yet it's ok for schools to be shut on polling day. There are plenty empty buildings etc. It's a farce.

Why should my children lose out on their education when there are plenty of community halls, churches, libraries etc that can be used?
