We the below signed citizens of the United States of America petition all state governments and the federal government to include the president of the united states with a respectful request. We are asking for the end of lifetime compensations and benefits for all politicians who are no longer in office. The day of the part time politician has long since past. As such we would ask that current and future compensations are looked at. So many others are asked to take a cut in pay but we have seen that our "leaders" are not leading in this issue. I have heard one reason stating "we must make enough to remain living amongst out constituents". This statement is a poor reason. Current politicians are given lavish benefits not even bestowed to those who give their lives for this country. We the people would like to see all compensations and benefits brought to a level of that of a "part time" government employee. As very few work more than 180 days a year on "government business". The people of this country have been abused to long by life long and professional politicians. We need more than words. We need you to be the one that helps lead our country.
