I am opposed to a change to the Residential Planned Development to allow increased density in the N. Olga area.
A lot of community input was given to the N. Olga Community Plan adopted a few years ago. It took into consideration inevitable population growth while maintaining the unique rural history of this area.
Neal Construction knew this in the beginning. They should abide by the existing development plan.
If the proposed change is approved other developers will follow creating expansion of our infrastructure and any appearance of a rural community will be gone.

I do not want a concrete city. I do not want more northern here ruining my city and state. Alva has exactly what it needs. It does not need more traffic. More idiots out here. The drive down 78 is awesome. Leave it the hell alone. We don't need or want your money. All these contractors are is a bunch of idiots trying to tell us how to live.

I was born and raised here. I live here because I don't like the hustle and speed of living in town. I love to get up in the morning and hear my horses and the birds chirping. Not cars and horns and the city life. I spend thousands of dollars in property taxes to live in Alva, and by Gods grace I won't stand by quietly to let someone put up a bunch of businesses and homes to mess up what God made !!! Alva is a little piece of heaven for some of us, and we're gonna keep it that way. DON'T TREAD ON OUR TERRITORY AND WE WON'T TREAD ON YOURS !!!

Please consider the rapid growth in Lee County as being a huge problem with the our quality of life in this beautiful place as being threatened by greed and envy of developers trying to squeeze out another ounce of ruination. You need to be thoughtful of the water, roads and infrastructure that are already overloaded. Please stop wasting assets from taxation and please stop raising taxes to pay for any mismanagement or errors.

Check out the North Venice Neighborhood Alliance Facebook page. They can help you with your battle. You are not alone. And, we have found this developer does not care about people - he doesn't listen to your concerns.

We recently moved out of Cape Coral to get away from the city life. We love it out here.
Save Alva.

Please. Please leave Lee County the way it was meant to be. We do not want to be overrun with communities like Miami or Tampa. We’ve chosen Lee County for a reason. The reason is we have room to breathe.

Please save Lee County from overdevelopment. If I wanted to live in Broward County, I would have moved there!

Multiple generations of Alva and Florida roots. Now live in the Pacific NW, but have been following my hometown for years, and strongly support efforts to maintain the character of Alva I've loved for 70 years.

This development would ruin the habitat of many native animals. It would be a shame to see this happen.
