STOP development in critical areas of important land. Developers like Neal Communities only care about lining their pockets. So disgusting.

I like others believe we can’t stop progress but we can insist it be done responsibly. This area does not have the infrastructure to support what is planned. We alllowing much of our area to be developed without regard to preserving the very thing that drawn us all to this area without proper preservation.

Traffic is horrible now why make so worse if we had a extra lane for all the roads now wood be great but later with all the building it would help !!!!!!!

I moved here from further south florida over 20 years ago to enjoy the country style living and the people. Now, we are being forced to accept new development causing higher prices on everything and more traffic than anyone can imagine!!!! It's already near impossible to drive down 78 to 31 to get to work in Ft. Myers without getting into a wreck. We need to stop and take a look at our future...

I want to keep our lands as they are we are already living with the growth of Babcock and this will just kill the rural community we have.

Terri Chadwell Alva Florida is a “Non-Urban Area” described by Lee County. Much of the area in Planning District #1 Northeast Lee County is conservation or agricultural land. Land intended to benefit the present and future generations in Lee County. As you drive along North River Rd. east of SR 31 what is seen is Farmland, cattle, orchards, homesteads, rural Florida. Lee County says this area should be protected; Lee County’s own Government statement reinforces this. POLICY 1.6.7: The Agricultural Overlay (Map 1-G) shows existing active and passive agricultural operations in excess of 100 acres located outside of the future urban areas. Since these areas play a vital role in Lee County's economy, they should be protected from the impacts of new developments, and the County should not attempt to alter or curtail agricultural operations on them merely to satisfy the lifestyle expectations of non-urban residents. (Ord. No. 94-30) But as we know change does happen, zoning amendments have taken place because the setting Government officials say they know what’s best for everyone in their world, “Their Constituents”. The example being Babcock Ranch. Yes, everyone is patting themselves on the back that had something to do with the development of this new outer ring Master Planned Community development, the new Fort Myers subdivisions. Yes, it survived our latest hurricane with no damage, yes, it’s energy efficient, it’s that shiny new “Green Community”, that brings into Lee County all that New Growth Tax dollars. Our typical Conservative Government officials will make the argument that new growth tax dollars are vital to our existing residents, it creates the money needed for EMS, Fire, Sheriff, “Public Safety”, transportation and recreation expansion and growth. Your basic essential services that Lee County is to provide to all residents, existing or new. New growth will address the money needed without raising your taxes. I will state Babcock

I have lived here for 73 years, grow up here & raised 2 sons. Would like to have others be able to enjoy the same quality of life that I have had in this rural area.

A voice for responsible city planning and adequate infrastructure ... this project has neither.

We moved to Alva for its open spaces and the rural beauty. Please don't destroy the rural nature of our beautiful Alva.
