Demand a Safe Plan Be Created for Plandome: Stop Developers from Putting our Safety At Risk.

Maintain the historic beauty of our village and safety of our road.

Overdevelopment in one part of our area will lead to overdevelopment in other areas. Large diameter sewers anyone?

This is a dangerous section of Plandome Road. I personally know individuals who have had serious car accidents in this area. Planning most consider traffic safety and maintaining the character of Plandome.

We should group together and stop the new subdivisions project.

The residents of this area do not need unchecked development which runs contrary to established ordinances. The developers will take their money and leave behind a mess; this must not be allowed.

As a former resident of Manhasset, I am concerned about safety and extreme rapid development.

This plan needs to be revised to meet the community's concerns.

We need to do everything to stop this development from happening.

I’ve been living here most of my life! It is a wonderful town and I do not want it overrun by developers were only there because of greed. Manhasset has to maintain our normal high standards or we will cease to be what defines us as a great place to live!

The proposal will create additional traffic hazards. Please consider an alternate plan

Plandome road cannot handle the traffic thst already occurs as you approach town. It’s completely unsafe for drivers and pedestrians to add additional traffic the original plan would bring. As a result of the already horrendous traffic esp mornings and evenings (outside of covid) the streets leading into Plandome road are backed up bc of Plandome.

We have see too many houses of historic value be destroyed by greedy commercial developers who think they can bully us into allowing them to ruin our town! He should not have bought the property without fully understand what it entails! Mr Pescatore took a big risk and lost! He should just sell it to someone willing to bring this lovely house back to life! AND.. has he any idea what the traffic is like at that blind section Of Plandome road!! Now add more cars coming into traffic from a blind spot!! You are looking at lawsuits down the toad!! Say No and teach these greedy a lesson that they can’t bully us!!

A developer should be held to the same standards as existing property owners. Unfortunately this is not the case when a change of grade is proposed.a property owner is prohibited from changing the grade of their lot by more than 2% ; however the outdated subdivision ordinance currently does not have such a limitation on a developer, which is in direct conflict with the zoning ordinance. The Planning Board should request the Plandome Board of Trustees to institute a moratorium on development to reconcile the difference between the zoning and subdivision ordinance. Such a moratorium would be in the interest of all property owners.

The site of the original driveway is much safer that the proposed driveway in a blind spot. This new location would also require significant landscape changes b/c the embankment would have to be leveled at that location and reinforced farther north. The developer hasn't addressed how he will reinforce the embankment farther north on Plandome Road.

I agree that they are building too many huge houses without proper supervision.
