Stop Ousting of Pier Road Historic District Shops in Jekyll Island

PLEASE keep small businesses strong on Jekyll Island. There are other alternatives for what ever the JIA has planned. Be creative!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Allow the shops to stay

Low blow, JIA improving is always a positive when applied correctly. This decision is one sided and with no dignity or consideration tk current owners. Very disappointing after supporting this island with family and friends for 30 years. New ideas come from people afar

One of the reasons I love coming to Jekyll Island is the shops They have a lot of cute items that I love to buy.. I am very disappointed that they are closing.the shops. I really wish the Jekyll Island Authority would reconsider their position.

Please don't do this. This has become a favorite vacation spot. These shops are part of that special experience. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

The Jekyll historic district is what brings the island it’s charm and what keeps me coming back. I love getting to speak with the small shop owners about the island and it’s history. What a horrific decision to remove such a valued area to so many people! I would be devastated.

The “new direction “ does not make a bit of sense. In the 7 years of moving down south here I have been to and brought many guests to enjoy those shops rather then the everyday stores.

The JA is making too many decisions without support of Jekyll Island owners and businesses

We love the sweet shop and shops! We’ve been coming to Jekyll since I was 6 weeks old and the shops have always been one of my favorite things.

We Minnesotans have been coming to Jekyll Island for over 30 years and cannot imagine the Historic District without its wonderful little shops. We wholeheartedly support and sign this petition.

This borders on criminal but is certainly unethical! Keep the shops open!

Support local businesses Don’t commercialize this island for profit and political gain Leave it be keep unique to enjoy

This is a horrible way to treat entrepreneurs who have become an icon of JI! Stop the ousting!

The shops are one of the highlights of our JEKYLL ISLAND vacation for the past 18?years! PLEASE DON’T REMOVE THE SHOPS!
