Stop Ousting of Pier Road Historic District Shops in Jekyll Island

The shops in the historic district are an important part of our multiple visits there I have clothes and pottery that I bought from those shops still in my house for over 20 years. The JIA needs to get its own act together. You are not maintaining the paths even near the hotel. I fell hard on an uneven pavement seam between the club and San succi. Fix what you are in charge of instead of going after shops that are outside your purview. Leave what works alone. You have enough that needs fixing. I doubt we will stay at Jekyll again

Please reconsider this awful plan - the shops ARE Jekyll and my family treasures time spent in them and the unique items we bring home. Must everything be homogenized for the sake of profit? Find a way to move forward without sacrificing these loyal, hard-working shopkeepers...

The unique one of kind shops are delightful. JIA wants beer garden $$. Visitors come to Jekyll for its uniqueness, not a cookie cutter resort attraction. This is a mistake. It will be regretted later.

Please do not displace the current shops. The should be a way to move forward without this action.

This is an iconic and treasured part of the island. Jekyll wouldn’t be Jekyll without them.

Please, these shops are my family's favorites, a daily destination every day for the week that we visit every year.

Please don't close the shops. I look forward to visiting them every time I'm there. That's a big part of our vacation when we come every year.

I have been vacationing on the island for many years and the Pier Road shops are my favorite. Please stop whatever you are doing that involves ousting the shop owners.

JIA has over stepped. We do not want a splash pad in the village leave the shops alone STOP messing with our beautiful Jekyll Island

I want the removal stopped! Removal of these shops will change the character and flavor of Jekyll.
