Don’t not take away these small business owner’s source of income. My small business has worked with them for many years. This will have a ripple effect. Small business offer people unique items.

The island will never be the same if they choose to close the small local owned shops and the continuation to move towards turf more commercial businesses

Commerce in this instance is Commercialism lining Jekyll Island up to look like the high rise beach areas of Myrtle Beach, Clearwater Beach, to name a couple former beautiful beach areas turned into tourist traps.
Sad situation for local residents and shop owners.

Leave these small businesses alone. Forcing them out is merely succumbing to avarice and greed by the JIA!

We went yesterday and had a nice bike ride. The places were very busy and it gives the small town acquaint feeling of back in historic days. A terrible shame.

Being a long-time visitor to Jekyll Island (20+ years) and since 2017 a property owner and winter resident, I value the shops in the Historic District for their uniqueness. Please don't bring in chain stores.

The JIA should be a support for the beautiful island and it's businesses. It is hard right now for small businesses to survive even with support from local agencies. I could not imagine pouring years of work and dedication into a community, only to be run out. I hope shop owners find a solution and can continue their success. Shame on you JIA.

These shops have provided a local cultural charm and unique shopping experience, and have been a destination in and of themselves for our family for decades. With their loss, as well as other changes on the island over the past five years, Jekyll is losing its soul. Please reconsider.

Save our small businesses. JIA is the ones profiting from closing our small town businesses down.

I have visited Jekyll Island for the past 27 years and can't imagine not having the wonderful shops along Pier Rd to browse through and purchase gifts.

It was really horrible how they handled this situation with the current shop owners. They could've gone to them to get them involved if they wanted to stay.
