Who is going to pay the additional school taxes and municipalities for the additional low income who pay no taxes at all ? You are putting the burden on us as tax payers and I already had to loose money to downsize because my taxes went up so high i was forced to sell my house when the people that lived behind me were all working in cash and taking advantage of the system! In addition had multiple rooms with illegal tenants which is already a big problem in Ossining it has to STOP!!!!!!!

What do we currently know about ETPA? We know that ETPA:
• Does not create any new affordable housing units
• Does not create any vacancies in the properties it designates for anyone currently looking for affordable housing
• It lowers the amount of available housing in a community by removing otherwise affordable housing from the market, thus raising prices in the market
• It allows 20% or greater rental increases when one of these units finally does come on the market which certainly does not help those looking for affordable housing
• Finally, we know that the only group that it can be said may benefit from ETPA are those who are already in the ETPA designated apartments. You have designated 1897 such apartments.
• We also know that as reported before the Village board on April 4 and as discussed with the Ossining Tax Assessor, this program could cost Ossining taxpayers close to $1.6 million dollars!
• And we know that the Village of Ossining has the highest property tax rate of any of the municipalities in Westchester County at 4.21% of assessed valuation.

This is just a terrible terrible idea. We already have an enormous tax rate here in Ossining particularly the village it’s very difficult for people to even think about buying a home here.

I do not want to pay for more consultants and studies. Our taxes are high enough and I don't want to pay higher taxes for the ETPA.

This is outrageous. I am retired and should not have to have the burden of added taxes put on me so that others go free of obligation.
