There is nothing good about this project for the people of Vallejo. The EIR stands as a testament to that.

I just moved to Vallejo, it's a charming community just beginning to recover from the recession.
But, a cement factory that would pollute SF ban, chase off the wildlife and ruin our air and water isn't what we need for Vallejo. What would this do to the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve?

Orcem, please find a non residential area for your factory. We understand the old mill is an ideal place for you, inexpensive on water and rail. But please understand people and wildlife live here. Our lives are more important than your profits. This is not a good fit for Vallejo.

I have lived in Vallejo for close to 25 years and this is horrible for our city, almost as bad as the LNG plant idea that the citizens shot down a few years ago. My husband and I were talking this afternoon and if this actually goes through we will most likely move. It's a horrible idea for citizens' health - we already have a high rate of asthma in the population and this will make it worse. It's a horrible idea for real estate values - why would you want to degrade the local environment when we are experiencing such a great real estate boom? Horrible idea, just horrible. And you remember the LNG fight? The city does this, expect everyone who votes for it to face a recall.

As a former Vallejo resident, I encourage local authorities to find a way to *improve* Vallejo's economy and quality of life without proceeding with this horrible project.

I am against more pollution in our air, water, and soil. This cement plant can go pollute somewhere else, not in Vallejo!!! Not near our wildlife refuges and not in Vallejo!!!!

I don't feel that we need a cement factory at that location to pollute our water and health hazards

I am signing because the VMT/Orcem project's cumulative impact is too dangerous for the health of residents and wildlife. Wake-up City of Vallejo and do something really useful with the site like a campus! See you at the City meeting! https://www.facebook.com/events/166326973709677/

Concerned that the noise and traffic and toxic pollution this project will create, is not worth the few jobs that it would create for the citizens of Vallejo..
