This could be a body blow to the shops we have relied on throughout Lockdown to keep us well supplied with all the necessities, just when they are opening up again. A terrible idea, especially in the direction proposed.

A poorly thought out plan, which will cause the death of the high street, plus the redirection route is dangerous - where Upper Stoneborough Lane meets the East Budleigh Road.

Our shops need all the help and trade they can get after what has been a difficult year for them. This will not help and force more shops to close. We will loose the heart of our lovely town if we are not careful.

As a regular disabled visitor I would visit less if parking was restricted as it’s hard to get a space now

This proposal has not had public consultation, nor a HSE review or impact assesment on the imoact to shop owners or road users along with pedestrians, this is all because the CO OP has adipted a poor social distancing policy that is causing the queues . The town is not that busy to cause people not to cross the road safely to the other side. Secondly the parking suspension will cause hardship for ederly users and a serious traffic problem in and around the circular route

Would be better if the circulation was in the opposite direction to that proposed by the Council.

Makung it one way is a disaster for the shops in the high street, some people will turn off at knowle and head to sidmouth rather than negotiate the new route..

This is completely unnecessary and till kill Budleigh Salterton as a town. One way to the seafront, would be better, if you have to anything at all. I was born here from a long established Budleigh family and love it as it is.

Without our local shops we couldn’t manage. This will have a devastating effect on many of the High Street businesses. East to West is a dangerous route, (corner of Upper Stoneborough Rs into East Bud Rd., so if you have to make it temporarily one way, it needs to be reversed.

Shop holder and think a one way system will be fine but the other way around. The proposed plans will force people out of Budleigh and confuse/upset older residents.

Please reconsider this decision, it will spell doom to the commerce of the High Street.

Ridiculous idea
The town will die. Elderly people won't be able to shop because of lack of accessibility due to parking and local businesses will lose more money than they already have due to lockdown

We should all be doing our utmost to save our highstreet - we all benefitted from the shops during the early part of Lockdown imagine if those shops hasn’t been there to support us.

Utterly ridiculous that it didn't happen when it would have been effective months ago. To now action this idea without consulting the businesses of Budleigh is ludicrous and will negatively affect the businesses trying to reopen.
