Stop Single-Car Driveway/Garage Mandate in Fayetteville

This is no good. Nobody wants a 1 car garage.

1 car is a bad deal cause too much parking on curbs

This will have the greatest affect on families requiring family cars and smaller work cars and driving age children. May also force families to move out of the city to find better accommodations.

I support the realtor association is their stance against this change

Do you like cars parked in the street? This is how you get cars parked in the street.

This should not be a mandate. The planning commission should decide on a case by case situation.

Just another reason Fayetteville is falling behind the surrounding areas. I would like to think the city leadership would be more concerned with having the homeless on every street corner or some other legit problem rather than lighting for the bike trail and size of a driveway. But hey let's keep Fayetteville funky! It's going to look like San Francisco or LA before we know it which is so sad! What a joke!

Fayetteville is a wonderful place but it will never be fully walkable. These ridiculous regulations only threaten to drive away the citizens of town with the most income and willingness to invest in the things that actually matter.

I don't feel this type of restriction is good for the potential homeowner in regards to long term values/ re-sale, etc. and an unfair burden on a builder or developer. Their product has to compete with surrounding communities.

I feel this would greatly impede the new construction. In addition, I feel this is a huge disservice to the citizenship. Fayetteville is home to many collage students, much of whom live in groups off of campus. I do not think the person/ people responsible for this have put enough thought into how Fayetteville works as a city.

I Strongly Oppose this!!!! It would Totally eliminate sooo many Family buyer’s and reduce the home values for Fayetteville!!!

This is all false information. Everyone should take it upon themselves to read the legislation and attend the public meeting. Do not believe what Rhonda has written here. It is not accurate.
