Stop Single-Car Driveway/Garage Mandate in Fayetteville

This is crazy Please rethink your position.....

I do not live in Fayetteville but have many friends that do that I visit often and will need a place to park when I visit. That will be a huge hassle for families with several teenagers....with friends!1

This proposed ordinance is so absurd it is embarrassing.

This is insane. We have enough trouble parking in the city as it is and now you want to limit parking on a persons private real estate. Sorry, no way.

2 car garages are a necessity! Let homebuilders have the decision.

This is a ridiculous ordinance proposal that infringes on a property owners functional obsolescence.

What a dumb idea to come up with. Imposing a one-car garage limit on new houses will turn homebuiders and buyers away from Fayetteville toward other growing towns in the area. The lifestyle here requires two jobs and two cars for most couples/partners. Our town hasn’t got the type of high-speed public transport infrastructure that enables people to commute. Only a few people live close enough to jobs and school to ride bikes. The “ordinary” people who know the realities of living here need to speak up.

I strongly oppose this. You’ll run homeowners out of Fayetteville.

Property owners should have the right to construct whatever they wish, within existing building codes. This sounds like a needless ordinance, which would give builders and potential homeowners ammunition to build elsewhere. Is this what Fayetteville wants?

This is an unusually imposing proposal that should not be passed.

Could you actually provide the language of the ordinance? Without that, this petition is just uninformed propaganda. I think as Realtors it is our duty to provide accurate information to our clients and our fellow Realtors.

What were they thinking?

Government over reach much!! Geez let people Build the homes they want not what the city wants! Do you want to stop growth? This is a great way to do that.

Please don’t pass this senseless ordinance. Property owners rights should not be infringed upon.

Please help us protect the rights of homeowners in NWA, particularly the part of the population that is most vulnerable.They are the ones who work hard every day to educate our children, serve in restaurants, care of the elderly, fix our cars, etc. They keep coming to our beautiful part of the world because they dream of having dignified housing. It is because of them that we have a thriving economy and hope in our future. Please help us serve them in they way they deserve, for a their efforts: Thank you.
