Yes it does provide many jobs but also takes away from other industries (ex: Tourism). Then to top it all off the pollution and health risks are terrible.

let the people who have to live where these sprays are set to take place decide whether or not they want this- we will have to be the ones that are forced to live with the results of the spray...

Our environment is not only vital to us but our children and grandchildren. We live on Mattatall lake and we have seen first hand what clear cutting and spraying can do. How do you explain to a two year old they can't go in the water because it is not healthy. I can only hope by signing this petition that the spraying will stop and our lake will have a chance to recover.

They sprayed last summer across from my cottages and campground with a helicopter and I couldn't t do a thing about it.It seems that the woods are more importing than people's health.

Poisoning 1300 hectares - not just the vegetation liss but the devastation of habitat - is criminal. And to what end - more profit for the off shore bullionaire, or billionaire, who owns
Northern Pulp and many other environmentally destructive ventures. He walks away with the money and we are left with the devastation.

I am extremely against this. Bonnyman byers did this behind my house three years ago, and flew over 15 acres of my property. They had a meeting with me (with no results) and ever since then the Mattatall lake behind my house has been turning green every year. seems kind of weird to be a coincidence

Stop supporting polluting industries that destroy our environment and cause so many health issues and are not in fact Canadian owned. Concentrate on supporting and promoting non-polluting stable small businesses that in the long run will SAVE the government money.

It absolutely disgusts me what the gov't is allowing to be done to our land & water ways these days.
