Northamptonshire Police want to carry out the crushing of seized motorbikes which have been used as off road bikes and causing disruption to residents.
We feel that this is the wrong thing for them to do, as the motorbikes could be given to legitimate charity organisations that help young people learn off road motocross and other motorbike sport, or they should be sold off at public auction and the monies raised used to support youth work within the Northamptonshire area.
Making a public spectacle of the crushing of the bikes serves no purpose, and those responsible will learn nothing from it, as the majority of bikes were stolen in the first place, and they will just go out and steal more bikes.
We want Northamptonshire police, to stop and actually think about what they think they are achieving and what they will actually achieve by doing this.

Please reconsider this option. What a waste of perfectly good bikes, that could be used with members of our young society that would use them at organised groups, or charitable causes could make use of them. Thanks
Rather than crush, sell them on if the owners cannot be traced. What a waste.
Yes put them up for sale and pass the money raised onto community projects
Auction them off giving money to charity
