The A516 could well get busier given proposals for significant housing development in Etwall and Hilton.

Its all been said I know, but I have was born in Mickleover in 1959 and have lived here all my life. I have thus witnessed first hand how it has become chronically overcrowded. Please, no more houses!!

Access to a farmland site via a roundabout off a fast A road is madness. Every vehicle entering or leaving the development can only use this access which is a recipe for accidents.

Need to spread the word about this petition! Really important not to let these houses get built without an increase in facilities and different road system to support them.

The services in Mickleover will be totally overwhelmed by this development. Also the road structure cannot cope with the traffic flow.

We do not need any more new houses being built in Mickleover, doctors surgeries are full and one in Mickleover is not accepting any new patients, and the traffic situation and congestion would be absolutely awful everywhere, its bad enough already! parking is difficult enough in Tescos as it is, I have to go to Tescos at odd hours just to get a good parking spot!

This is just a blinkered approach to building more houses without any improvements to services. The current traffic down Station Rd. is verging on dangerous!

No facilities provided eg schools doctors or shops. Access very difficult onto the main road.

I support all points raised. My biggest concern is mickleover school children who access this route to attend John port, many of whom cycle. A roundabout on such a busy road will provide many hazards to these youngsters .

I agree with most of the comments posted especially the impact on schools and doctors.

I am a resident of Etwall and am concerned that more children will be siphoned in to John Port School which is currently at bursting point. That is before the proposed housing in Etwall itself is taken into account. This will inevitably lead to increased traffic which Etwall is unable to cope with.

Mickleover is well past saturation point for new homes. the roads and infrastructure can't cope any more.

I agree Mickleover is a desirable area in Derby but think the village feeling is sadly gone now. Mickleover is chronically short of facilities let alone having to cope with more houses. Schools are full, doctors cannot accept new patients, parking in the centre is difficult, getting a table at the Nags on the weekend is a lottery , traffic queues into town to get to work speaks for itself! Developers should not be allowed to build more houses unless they provide the facilities and infrastructure to support them ie shops , bus routes , schools, new doctors surgery.

The infrastructure simply won't cope. The quality of life will deteriorate for all in and around Miickleover. The combination of all agreed and proposed developments is too much and too quickly.
