Seeing 2,500 people stand with me to protect the Irrawaddy River leaves me completely overwhelmed. My heart is heavy thinking about the damage already done, but knowing this many people care about my home gives me hope I thought was lost.

The Irrawaddy River is my home and seeing our signatures climb toward 2,500 proves how many of you care about its survival. We need a final burst of energy to push past this goal and show those in power that we refuse to be silent.

why should we re-start Myitsone dam which was suspended by previous government. ? One of our intention to vote NLD is to #cancel that deal which is infested by a lot of corruption & kickbacks.
I, Yu Zin Htoon, object the continuation of Myit Sone Dam that have negative effects on the people living in the region, the environment and disaffirms our rights over the country's natural resources.
We must stop this project, if you really wanted generating electricity, why you don't consider Electric power generation and distribution from wind energy? there have good resource at Rakhine State? We don't need Dam Project at Myitsone.
this is more than about dams and rivers. This is about the cultural heritage, the biodiversities, the homes, the future of next generation and the lifestream of our beloved country. so please, stop myit sone dams project
This project have to withdraw by Chinese company which is signed the contract without transparency with military goverment. How much bribery money given to generals by chinese company.

We do not want this unjustified project to happen. There are evidences arising proving Mega Dams are not only socially and environmentally viable also financially.The assessment team should be questioned for professional ethics.
