We are a rural community with grazing lands for deer, cattle and horses. The wildlife here thrives and should not be subject to this extensive habitat destruction. This development does not belong here. This development would lease to widening of these roads and a severe increase in traffic in this mountain area. Wildfires are a real threat and we have all been dropped from our insurance. How will these homes be protected? This could create another Paradise fire situation. We moved here to be away from the city and now they want to bring the city to us. We don’t want it and neither do the animals that thrive here.

We have endangered species in the area. There are several types of kangaroo rat, including the San Bernardino Kangaroo rat. There are also Horned Toads. I have pictures of both.

We have lived in this rural community on the Bench for over 30 years. We enjoy the serenity of the neighborhood, the sightings of deer, bobcats, coyotes, and other animals that make their habitats here. These will be destroyed by the Loma Linda development which would be placed right across the street from where we live on Sunset. Unfortunately that would probably mean we would have to leave this wonderful place. You would be destroying the kind of life our community has treasured for over a century.

We need infrastructure not homes. There is limited access to & from the Bench so if there was a fire it would be devastating.

I grew up on the bench. It’s so peaceful. Don’t take that away from us because of greed.

As a banning Resident of 54 years 3rd generation, there is not the proper roads or water to build these homes, let alone destroy the land. And that is a high risk fire area where home insurance just is thru the roof. Don't add homes to a city with not a bank, grocery store or any pharmacy.

Banning by the hospital JUST put in a bunch of homes taking away precious land that naturally fed and sheltered animals and preserved the earths natural landscape now they want to AGAIN overcrowd and congest more of the little bit of uncluttered peace that the area has to offer? I am tired of greed, tired of unaffordable cookie cutter homes. HOW DARE BANNING prepare high cost homes to bring in more residents when the locals ARE NOT EVEN TAKEN CARE OF PUT YOUR MONEY TO THE HEART OF ITS HOME THE PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLE HERE EVERYDAY. The people of the bench did not work hard to gain a place on this bench to be slapped in the face with the very thing they wanted away from. NO TO MASS PRODUCED HIGH COST HOMES ON THE BANNING BENCH.
