Stop this ridiculous
project. A project of this type will attract more LA and Orange County folks who will bring their problems with them, much as the new projects being developed up Highland Springs North of Wilson. The City is always looking for tax base, but this is not the way. After being born and living in Banning for 73 years, this is just going to ruin what used to be a good community. Progress is not always good. If we keep it up, we will become another San Bernardino or Riverside. This will drive many true Banning residents from the community. LLU needs to concentrate on hiring more qualified Doctors than going into the real estate business to rake in money for more buildings which are not staffed by trained doctors as opposed to a sea of nurse practitioners.

All these new houses with NO infrastructure improvements. Schools are overcrowded, traffic is now a nightmare, No road improvements, Banning needs to be fixed first. 23 pot shops and growing weekly. Corrupt liquor stores every half block down Ramsey selling illegal vapes to our kids. Police ignore most crime here, need to fix this dirty sanctuary town first!

Save the history of this land! Keep the cattle ! And keep the views! We don’t need 5,000 cars here !! We don’t need a school or anything else! Preserve the Banning Bench ! Our water is for our residents only ! Not for construction!!

My family has worked on, lived on, and loved "The Bench" for some 60 years. Before we lived there we worked and maintained a 10+ acre peach orchard up until the orchard contracted "Curly Leaf" disease also known as "Fire Blight" the only "Cure" was to pull out all the trees and burn them to prevent the spread of this disease... which we reluctantly did. Then and only then did we build a home on the scorched vacant land. My Dad, Dr. Walling, was an active member of the Banning Heights Mutual Water District for many years, and I recall numerous attempts to develop the Bench in the past, and I also remember the one thing that stopped these attempts was the lack of water for fire protection. This was 35, 40, 45 years ago when water was plentiful... now the people driven by greed think it's a grand idea to build 2400 homes there? Did you not witness the recent heart wrenching disaster of the Palisades fire due to what???? The lack of water!!! If this project of greed moves forward, and the homes are built, when the fire comes, (and it will) with the loss of property and life, the literal blood will be on the hands of everyone that supports and signed off on this blatent greed driven project. NO, NO, NO to this project that will put innocent people in harms way and forever change the beauty that is "The Bench"
Sadly human greed knows no bounds.

I strongly oppose the plan to build 2,400 homes in the rural area around The Bench in Baning. This is a beautiful and irreplaceable part of our countryside that deserves to be protected — not just for the people who enjoy it, but for the environment, wildlife, and the broader community.
I discovered this area while cycling and was immediately struck by its peacefulness, open meadows, and stunning landscapes. Developments like this would destroy the very character that makes it special. Once this natural space is gone, it will be gone forever. We must stand together to preserve it for future generations.

I’m keeping my name anonymous because I know these developers personally. They are very bad and love to destroy rural areas. Don’t let anything get passed you keep a eye out for any agenda and equipment. They are very very sneaky keep watching.
