Carlsbad: Stop Low Flying, Loud, and Unsafe planes from operating over our Homes and Neighborhoods

We literally just moved to San Diego and unbeknownst to us, we live in the flight path of several airports. The noise is ridiculous. I have hyperacute hearing like a bat, and trying to hold a conversation in our living room is almost impossible. It’s noise pollution. This is supposed to be a higher end neighborhood and we should not have to deal with this nonsense.

They constantly circle, and it is very disruptive and loud. Why can’t they fly someplace that doesn’t have residential areas like further inland where there’s much more open land?

What is the status of this petition? We signed this in Sept of 25 and the amount of air traffic has almost doubled since then, so I’m betting it already died like most petitions do! Lets team up and take this to Channel 7 and 10 News... Also, it is key to note that none of us signed a real estate stipulation agreeing to buy our homes under an airport flight path, therefore making this safety and noise problem illegal. Also as you know, your homeowners insurance, which has tripled $$$ in the last couple years now has a new stipulation in it removing the insurers liability if a private aircraft or jet were to crash into any of our homes in the 92009-area since the recent uptick in air traffic! Please stop the planes! We can’t bear it any longer! It sounds like planes are going to land in our yard! Scary!! Also makes it difficult to work from home as they start very early at five or 6 AM and they go into the evening. It’s terrible!

Spent a huge sum of money less than a year ago to purchase a home in this area because of its beauty and quiet neighborhoods, specifically because I am a writer and technology entrepreneur that works from home and quiet is non negotiable. It was peaceful until 6 months ago and now it sounds like were living next to the San Diego Airport! This is a major problem, and living in one of the most expensive places in the world should give us the legal right to fight for the peace and quiet that has now been stolen from us, and win it back!

These flights are so loud they are disturbing sleep

Insane that Carlsbad has let this get so bad. Pilots flying over homes all day long. Many people looking to get out of this situation .

Please stop this madness. The flight schools are awful. Literally lawn mowers in the sky at 600 feet circling houses.

Low flying flight school that circled several neighborhoods all day. The noise is constant all day long. This cannot be good for Carlsbad, property values, health.

I have called the airport, no one will help. I have filed noise complaints. No one cares. These planes fly over Pacific view apartments for 8 hours everyday!!

Planes are flying over head constantly and up to midnight daily. Very concerning and annoying. I have lived here fir over 20 years and it has never been like this before.

I live on San Marcos/Escondido line. Recently, I can hear many planes flying over my home. Some are flying too low. Honestly, it sounds like they are going to hit my home. It's very unnerving. Can you do something about this?

It never was this bad until recently. It's outrageous how many planes are flying constantly.

Just move to Carlsbad and this is such a beautiful city. It's a shame that there are way too many airplane fly over our community though. Every 5 minutes and non-stop during the day, even in the night!

Constant and ridiculous

Low flying, loud, especially single prop trainers and joy riders, are having a massive negative impact on the Carlsbad community.

There are non stop low flying noisy planes flying all day long over my community over our homes. Plane traffic has increased tremendously the past couple years and is extremely disruptive to our quality of life.

Live in Escondido. The rate of flyovers has gone up 10 fold in the last 2 months. Extremely annoying. They fly over every 10 minutes all day and very low compared to the last few years. What's going on....
