One of the few pristine and beautiful lake areas that I have seen! The devastation and plundering of nature and all the beauty that this area now holds is unthinkable and unbelievable to even comprehend! This is a historical place of refuge to nature and people alike! Stop and think before you create this nightmare and actions that if carried through can never be reversed! Shame on You!

LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR............IS HERE! That is the motto or policy of a prominent insurance company. What is keeping Sakaw from adopting a policy of being a GOOD NEIGHBOUR other than "only" self interest? How refreshing it would be if they led by example and set a precedent and became a model for other companies in Sask. to emulate. Is it that difficult to create a sufficient buffer zone where the beauty and environment would not be impacted or compromised? Perhaps donating land to such cause or to make the land available for sale in either large parcels or lots. Where it would be a win win situation for everyone. Disputes are usually solved through diplomacy, compromise or some amicable agreement or government intervention. Where are your local officials? Even though I live in the U.S. I was born in Sask. and still retain my Canadian citizenship. When we come to visit we do everything we can to get up to Dore to enjoy the excellent pike fishing and the remarkable beauty of the area. Hopefully that will not be ruined or destroyed!

Haha, I just saw this comment. Had to do my research first! Now I know how worthy of a cause this is!

We've commercial fished of Dore Lake since the early 1960's & it's very close to our hearts. I do not want my backyard stripped away from it's natural beauty.
