Having been coming to Michel Point since the late 1970bringing with us grand children nieces nephews grandparents parents siblings and friend. It has become for us and anyone we have visited us a place of peace happiness and joy that are hard to put into word. Magical comes to mind. It's beauty is second to none worldwide in our opinion. The air is clean and the lake pristine how many places can in this country or world can boast these praises. We must do whatever it takes to maintain this balance

I have had detailed discussions about this area. Michel Point and associate areas very clearly is an old growth stand in the mixed woods section of the Canadian boreal forest. These old growth stands are very rare and need the highest level of protection. For example, after thorough biophysical inventory only two small areas within Prince Albert National Park would qualify as an old growth stand of similar ecological value. Michel Point and its old growth forest should be considered as a Saskatchewan ecological reserve, it should not be considered for harvesting. These intact old growth stands in the boreal forest are increasing valuable for biodiversity, research and nature tourism. Please put forth Michel Point as a very important ecological reserve of northern Saskatchewan.

We have a cabin at Sled Lake and the destruction they have caused and mess they have left behind is a disgrace. It looks like a war zone driving up to the lake now. There needs to be some accountability in how and where they are logging.

We have a cabin at Dore Lake and have seen first hand the destruction of the forest first hand near 924. I can't imagine them doing this anywhere near our cabin area. Damage to the road is a serious concern as well as the loss of a beautiful mature forest in which we hike and teach our children about nature.
