I have to say the Castle Green would be perfect people can sit and contemplate the bull ring is not suitable for this monument the bull ring displays Dr Price how many more statues / monuments does it need please use some common sense and respect the wishes of locals and residents its our monument and we should have a decision not like the change of schools and other important issues that RCT refuse to see reason to.

Not an appropriate place to erect the war memorial. The Bullring has become a delightful open space with the statue of Dr Price setting off the view of the Model house. Far better to put it on The Castle Green where there is the space and would be more appropriate with the more military setting of the castle. I speak as a former "Old Town" resident and one time member of the Town Trust

Castle Green much more suitable, there is enough congestion on the Bullring as it is.

As a regular visitor of old Llantrisant, I fully oppose the current plan to site the war memorial in the Bull ring and fully support the alternative suggestions and comments made by Dean Powell.

The Castle Green is a far better choice. But ask the Freemen for their opinion.

Castle Grern would be more suitable and so much safer than The Bullring.

The history information and memorial would not be appreciated if the memorial was put on the Bull Ring, as it would be too busy.

I strongly believe the correct location for the war memorable is the castle green and not the Bullring. Placing the memorable on the Bullring would cause a crowding of the space. A memorable of such a nature would be far better suited to the castle green to aid quite reflection and is ideal for remembrance services.

As an Iraq Veteran I believe that when remembering my dead colleagues, I need to do it in silence and not with heavy traffic and shoppers etc cutting about for Sunday lunch. This why I did not attend the old memorial. If it was on the Bull Ring and not the castle I would continue to go to Cardiff, which defeats the whole purpose of having a memorial in Llantrisant in the first place. I also feel that Mr Dean Powell is very much right and am proud that another son of Llantrisant is fighting for the honor oand respect that the war dead of this great town deserve and I would like to highlight my appreciation for what he has done here. Well done Sir
