There is plenty of room on the castle green whereas the bull ring is already a tight space, but an appealing one, with Dr.William Price facing his home. Please don't disturb it.

I feel that the memorial would be better placed on the castle green, as the Bullring has much needed seating for the elderly, a memorial to Dr Price, and is already hard to navigate with a wheelchair or pushchair.

There are endless wars and remembering just a few is short sighted but the space on the castle green would allow all warriors to be mourned in suitable military context. The Bullring has been reclaimed from a site of animal cruelty to a peaceful hub. Let's not destroy the harmony of the current street furniture by cluttering it.Llantrisant has powerful natural energies which when blocked can engender chaeos for the townspeople and although I am intending to move back north I will visit often and want it to thrive. Blessings to all Kate

I agree that the memorial should be sited on the Castle Green, a more appropriate site.

The Llantrisant War Memorial Committee has done amazingly well to raise the funds and their hearts are in the right place, but their proposed positioning for the memorial, on the bullring, just isn't suitable and wont serve their honourable objective - to pay respect to those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. I am yet another member of the community who agrees with the letters written by Gareth Griffiths and Dean Powell, and with the idea to position the memorial on the peaceful and picturesque Castle Green. I trust that now they are aware of the community's strong feelings on the matter, the committee will move to have the memorial built elsewhere, giving serious consideration to the most popular suggestion (the castle green).

I agree that the memorial should be sited on the Castle Green where it would be a place of quiet, peaceful reflection and remembrance.

Castle Green this should be built please. Having worked for the Military, now home and based in St Athan I feel that is the best place for the War Memorial. You need space for the people & emotion to reflect on these past years. Not on a busy road with shops & traffic!

I agree it would be much better if it was erected on the Castle Green .

I am not a resident of Llantrisant but do agree that the new monument should be on the Castle Green. As a Freeman and the Great Grandson of the landlord of the Shrewsbury Arms and also a decendant of a survivor of Roukes Drift I agree with the petition.

A more peaceful setting would be best suited.

Llantrisant has huge potential as a tourist destination and this proposal ought to complement work already going on in the village to realise this.

Keep the bullring as it is and build the memorial elsewhere.
