LL just offered up an entire group of kids as sacrificial lambs. An 8 year old playing against a 10 year old? It's irresponsible and dangerous. You grandfather everyone or no one. A batch of kids in a 20 month age span league? Insane.

If u want to change the age that's fine but do it across the board. Don't put kids born in 2006 at a disadvantage. It's not fair to those kids. I know little league doesn't use common sense very often but why not grandfather in kids born 2005 and before

Kids just turning 8 will be playing against kids turning 10 but both kids will be playing as league age 9. How is this fair? start with kids signing up this year!!

I have to agree its not broke, leave it alone. kids do not need to be playing ball with kids who are 2 yrs old than them and more than likely have better talent because they have played longer. you will end up with injuries that could reallu hurt a child because of the force the older kids hit with. Keep them in the age group they belong in.

Two concerns. Eight year old kids will be physically at a huge disadvantage which I fear will lead to a higher potential for injury. Secondly these kids will be losing a year of playing baseball.
