Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club promised a buyback of our current membership with Wyndham with the purchase of a membership. They have not fulfilled that promise in the contract signed in November 2015.

I got robbed by these guys. They lie and then sell the weekends at a cheaper price. So you own nothing basically. I used the cool off period and received threats of being charged like $8.000 for spending 2 days.

My wife and I signed a contract with lifestyle and are having the same issues everyone on the petition is having. I wouldnt mind paying for something that I agreed to. However, as confirmed by many others on this petition, Lifestyle is not keeping their end of the bargain. They promised no all inclusive fees for us and/or guests and great availability. Lifestyle has also made it increasingly difficult to book a room, via lack of availability and charging a premium on resort stays. This decreases the odds of repackaging resort stays to a 3rd party, i.e. someone else who maybe interested in utilizing my Lifestlye membership. Repackaging the resort stays and reselling to a 3rd party/ies was Lifestyle's focal point as they were selling the membership. It was the main source to recoup on the $30,000.00 Lifestyle charged us for the membership. This is a potential violation of international trust laws. I would like to thank whoever came up with this petition and those that signed up.

They get you drunk and make it seem like everything is so good and luxury! But mean while it’s a whole scam it’s not what they make it and it more lower end like any other hotel. Currently have a law sue going on. They scam you when they ask for your information and open up bank accounts with out your permission BEAWARE!

My friend and I just visited DR and We realize they got us too. While still on vacation a lot of vacation goers seen my bracelet and told me it was all a scam because they have been scammed by them also. When my friend tried to get out of it the next day they said there would be fees of $5000 plus extra due to them giving us an upgrade. Which was just a golf cart and they gave us a bottle of champagne and they wanted to give us a bottle of wine but we never went to get it. They basically try and get you to drink so you’re mellow and relaxed to con you, because they will ask you over and over again to give you many drinks while trying to persuade you to buy into their membership. They show you property that you will never be able to rent although they said you will be. I met so many vacation goers on that trip who told me how lifestyle got them and the only place they visit is Puerto Plata because everywhere else is crappy 1 star hotels. You’ll be paying more money if you decide to go to Punta Cana and Mexico. They even claim we could go to Dubai and Jamaica. The guy who conned us even said he will come pick us up and take us around and to his home to have real Dominican Cuisine. Also, that he would help my friend with selling her membership to others so she can make money. We never seen him again! We went to that building a couple times during our stay to try and get out of it but to no avail. So I’m totally down with trying to stop these folks from scamming other individuals.

Lifestyles is a beautiful place to vacation and I would have enjoyed my vacation if I was not upset for most of my trip due to signing a contract on day 2 of the vacation that I never should have signed. I was intoxicate at the signing and I felt rushed. Of course, I should have taken my time but instead I trusted the sales people. I would really like to cancel this membership and receive a full refund and this is exactly what I stated two days after signing the contract. The original contract was signed on March 14th, 2019 and on March 16th, 2019, I asked to cancel the agreement because I started to realized what was presented to me by the sales person (Elvis) was not what I had purchased. When he took me to view the Presidential Pen house, I was told that if I signed up I could stay in this type of luxury resort room and accommodation for a $1,000.00 service fee and that this type of accommodation would be available to me "all over the world" at this price. Two days after signing the contract, I came to realize that Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club only have property in two countries, Mexico and Dominican Republic, I immediately requested to cancel my membership and receive a refund of the $10,000.00 that was charged to my credit cards. However, I was told that if I cancelled, Lifestyles would keep $4,000.00 plus additional fees. I found this to be highly unethical. Now that I have logged into the ICE portion of the membership, I see that the property offered there for members are only in select locations, not all over the world and are not comparable (mediocre at best) to the accommodations that I was lead to believe I would have at my disposal "all over the world" for the same prices offered by Lifestyles. I feel lied to, tricked and cheated out of my hard earned money. Again, these business practices are highly unethical.

Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club promised a buyback of our current membership with Royal Holidays (another corrupt and fraudulent vacation club) with the purchase of a membership. They have not fulfilled that promise in the contract signed in March 2, 2015.

There are a few things that we feel misled about in reference to our membership. When we signed up for the membership we were told by Luis and his supervisor that we were guaranteed a room at our level of membership whenever we would like. We asked in every way imaginable to verify this was the case since we travel very last minute. After stressing that we fly very last minute we were told we could show up today and be guaranteed at least a Junior Suite, as that was our membership level. We were also told we would have the option of upgrading to a villa. The gentlemen that we met with also told us that we could use our membership to rent rooms out for guests to earn our initial buy in back over time. He told us we could book up to 10 rooms at a time for the same dates. It was with the intention of having our wedding at the resort as well as reserving rooms for guests as a source of income that we agreed to the membership. Since joining the LHVC family we have tried several times to make reservations and been unsuccessful each time. First, November 13th 2018 we tried to set up a reservation for a Villa for January 19th 2019 to January 21st 2019. We were told there were no villas a available for those dates. We accepted that and didn’t think twice about it. However, November 14th 2018 we tried to make a reservation for a villa from March 18th 2019 through March 23rd 2019 and were also told there was not a villa available. At this time I messaged the orientation team asking why no villas were ever available. It was explained to me that while we were members, we were not villa members and the villas were reserved for members at the villa level. If I wanted to reserve a villa, I would have to wait until it was less than 30 days away to do so. This was not what we were initially told, but we accepted that and went on believing in our membership. February 14th 2019 we tried to make a last minute reservation for a Junior Suite from the 15th to the 17th. We were told

My wife and I also were victims of fraudulent practices by Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club. LHVC used 'BAIT AND SWITCH" and a whole host of misrepresentations to sell club membership. What makes this so pervasive is that credit card companies such as Bank of America and American Express appear to be part of this scheme. For example, American Express had to pay 56 million dollars in damages regarding the misuse of its credit cards. It seems or it appears that its credit cards are used in this scheme. Further, American Express has no "PRESET LIMITS" which means LHVC has the ability to charge hefty amounts on its credit card. Our experience is that once these LHVC fees are tack on, American Express plays the "hands off" game and sides with LHVC when it comes to issuing any credit on a cardmember's account. This is something to think about.

My wife and I were feed a lot of alcohol during the whole process and wind up spending $16,000. When we sobered up we tried to cancel the next day and were told we would only get $10,000 back.

First of all this company is terrible and they lie alot. my family and i visited there because we are under their membership. they sell you this fake dream about oh you can live here etc. our membership states that we paid for the royal villas. so to vacation there we put in an order for royal villas and it was approved. We get there and was sooooooo disappointed. not only did we not get the place that we paid for but they put us somewhere else. when we asked why, they stated that we did not have priority. all this money we paid for royal villas and we cannot access it because we do not have priority ( thousands of dollars mind you). that does not make any sense. we booked months in advance and if they knew the property wasnt available that should have been said to us previously so that we could go elsewhere. when we confronted them about it, they told us that there was nothing that they could do about it. they will see what they could do the next time we visit. no one is coming to visit them ever. they are horrible. thousands of dollars gone down the drain, no refund, nothing about oh we can compensate you for something. nothing. i am so angry with them its unbelieveable. stay away from them. do not pay thousands of dollars for their membership. because what they sell you is not what you receive. go visit punta cana its nicer anyways and the food is greater.
