Flooding, schools, and roads/traffic issues must be resolved PRIOR to adding 178 new homes/families. The elementary school is over capacity, and the homes they're building are only attractive to families with school age children....the city must act before they can allow additional issues brought by this development. It's irresponsible otherwise....

We do not need to develop every last inch of land just because it's there, especially when the current infrastructure simply cannot support the growth. Allowing these homes to be built would directly put me and my family at risk, and I will not support development that disregards the safety and well-being of the community.

Let them build the houses. They will eventually be built anyway. Just remember, when the police, fire and ambulance companies can't get here because you can't say no to another 2500 residences along the Gandy corridor, that the city is the reason for the gridlock.

I'm not against growth, I recently built in Port Tampa, but I am concerned about the narrow streets we drive on, the speed limit being too high for these streets, storm water flooding, outdated traffic lighrs (on streets that were meant for a fraction of the traffic driving on them now), as well as the CHOKED-up roads coming in and out of south Tampa from Gandy south. You can't keep building and cramming large amounts of people and their cars down here if you don't address the above issues as well as the schools-which are at capacity. MacDill is also growing and an estimated 500 new employees are supposed to be headed our way sometime in the near future. Can you do the math on how many more cars that will bring to the area-whether they live here or not? PLEASE, addresss the needs BEFORE jamming us all in down here.

It seems to me that almost every square inch in South Tampa is being developed. When you think that there is absolutely no more land to build on, then along comes this. We already have significant flooding in the area, increased traffic and people. Please, this is just getting ridiculous. Please vote NO!

Council members, The city needs to improve our infrastructure before more developments. Im not against Lennar building IF our small community roads and stormwater could support it. What are you doing with Lennars impact fees to help improve this? You are putting the cart before the horse.

All of the green spaces are disappearing and we don't need any further razing of those green spaces. Port Tampa can't handle any more growth. Lennar needs to stay out!

The amount of additional residents to the area cannot be supported by our current roads and south tampa floods with little rain. This is not a good idea for the community. It becomes hazordeous upon evacuation if/when needed.

I completely agree that Lenard Homes need to be stopped for the sake of our schools and roads and mostly the wetlands and green spaces. We will soon be living in a metropolis!

If Lennar Homes is allowed to develop this property we will have lost another part of the green space we have left in Port Tampa City. This is a beautiful pristine area and should be left as it is now. The traffic will also get even worse on the very travelled street I live on. I purchased my forever home in 2011.

Don't destroy our woods and long time Old Port Tampa feel for new cookie cutter homes. We don't have the room on the streets for more people and your killing wildlife and there are plenty of other areas you can build.

South Tampa can't take much more. Do we HAVE to have concrete and steel on every square inch of space?! I have already been displaced because of "development" Before long, only the elite upper class will be permitted to have housing. Disabled and low income people seem to be being deemed unworthy of living. Seeing a blade of grass will become a rare occurrence, not to mention the traffic overload.

We are being buried here in Port Tampa. All of this development is putting us in harm's way. Please vote NO against the rezoning application submitted by Lennar Homes.
