This school year a new late arrival was implemented by the Buckeye Superintendent and approved by the Buckeye BOE for the 2017/18 school year. It has already been approved for 2018/19 as well. One Wednesday per month excluding December all district schools begin two hours later than normal hours with dismissal at the same time. This not only disrupts routine but is near impossible for many families to accommodate.
Please consider signing this petition to let the Superintendent and Board of Education know that our families refuse late arrivals as the best means to accommodate Continuing Education/Training for staff. We respectfully ask them to reconsider a better option for the upcoming school year.

LOOK AT THIS MOMENTUM!! I AM ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY THE STRENGTH OF OUR COMMUNITY AND THE ENERGY YOU ARE ALL BRINGING TO THIS FIGHT!! WE ARE PUSHING HARDER THAN EVER TO DEMAND BETTER SOLUTIONS FOR OUR FAMILIES!!

Late arrivals are very inconvenient. I usually have to find a babysitter for that couple of hours. The morning routine for my kids is disrupted. My schedule gets messed up. I try not to be a complainer, but I wish there was a better option.
This was a poor decision that was completely out of touch with the scheduling reality of dual working parents and single parents.
Late arrival is very hard to kids to school. Especially non driving high school kids.
might be convenient for the school but really causes issues for two parents that work.
This will not work next year when my son goes to first grade. Maybe the school district can provide free care prior to school starting.
Go back to early one hour release
