Stop Language Deprivation in Deaf Children

No one deserves to feel different and alone

American Sign Language should be recognized, taught and made accessible in schools, services and places of work. Period. This should be legislation.

Please do better in helping our children

Every child needs a chance to be the best version they can be.

We have French schools and English…. How do we not have more support for children who are deaf or hard of hearing? They deserve better!

This is very important.

Every child matters!

As a retired teacher I agree that children must have access to a language in one form or another. Studies show that humans learn 90% of their knowledge before the age of 5 years olds.

Hope this changes for the deaf kids

It's so sad that this is a problem in this day and age. Hopefully the government can get it together and do so much more to help.

Please improve this serious situation.

We need to ensure ALL children have access to rich natural language environments including sign language to help them achieve fluent communication skills.

Educate all . Signs help children to learn word they cannot hear. They need a vocabulary.

Deaf and hard of hearing children need and deserve full support and services.
