this area is already one of the most congested and to create a further bottleneck would be quite ridicolous

You only need to look at the chaos caused at peak times around Cardiff Castle to know that this would be a disaster!

The benefit to bus times will be miniscule but the traffic chaos it will cause by creating yet another unnecessary bottleneck will hinder my ability to travel as I, like a lot of engineers who keep vital equipment maintained, need a vehicle for my work. I have visited many other Cities in England and Wales a lot of which do not have the traffic calming measures or short bus lanes Cardiff seems to have introduced and traffic flows more freely. At a time where money is tight there seems to be endless sums for these pointless schemes and wasteful use of tarmac humps that only serve to create problems for emergency vehicles.

Cardiff's roads have become a nightmare with bumps, unnecessary narrowings and most recently very wide pedestrian crssings at roundabouts and junctions. Cycle lanes must be a joke inflicted on motorists and cyclists and appear to disregard anything to do with safety.
