My parents bought a house adjoining tithe butts.... I would struggle to list all the good memories that these 3 public fields and the woods with the big middle and little dippers have given me and all my friends. The thought that the land be spoilt for future generations to enjoy is shocking! Sledging, school cross country, climbing trees, football, digging for bullets, camping, the ghost lady picking bluebells, I , along with many others know every inch of these butts so in short.... #Take your hands off my butts!!!!

l couldn't believe l was reading that Labour have unanimously voted to put the Butts onto their Asset Management Strategy list. This really is not on. I should imagine not many people know about this.

The Butts is a prominent natural feature crowned with a beautiful bluebell wood. It is geologically interesting, which might well cause problems for any housing development. The area is much used by local people with or without dogs.

i think it is absolutely appalling that the Butts could be considered for development ! it is a beautiful natural woodland and open space for people of all ages to enjoy,it is used by a lot of people all year round for exercise with or without dogs .We have atheletes training on the gradients every weekend , some of which have gone on to be 0lympic athletes ! We would also be very concerned about flooding problems for propertys below the development .

Keep our beautifully Butts. This area is not suitable for development due to flooding and the Apedale fault. As a family we enjoy walks up the Butts, particularly in Spring when the bluebells are in full bloom.

This is an historical piece of land that has given many people fond memories. Don't take these memories away from the people who have not yet had the chance to build snowmen, go sledding or play hide and seek there.
