you have to consider people either without a car, elderly, and people who are trying to follow Cardiff c.c. policy of leaving the car at home

I have seen a reduction in bus services only quite recently where now. I have to use my car to go to work at the UHW as our service was cut from Thornhill I am lucky that I have a choice of transport but people solely depend on the bus and these people need looking after

We have been asking Cardiff Bus for years to look at rationalising bus services in North Cardiff. heynhave consistently refused to believe that we NEED anusable bus service . eevarenall supposed to be wealthy enough to run our one cars. we have also raised the sensible idea of extending the 27 bus service...to the Cefn Onn Park roundabout. thus providing joined up rail and bus srervices. This service is every 12 minutes. Somewhat different from the soon to be axes hourly service...which was every half hour...in two differentndirections...including a service to the Heath Hospital..Once this WAS a good well used service. Cardiff Bus do not want tom accept that if you provide anregular service it WILL be used...and our service is badly needed. many people are unable to run a car...cannotnafford to do so ...or are not able to drive because ofnage, infirmity, sight problems. We have both given up our card...because of age, and sightnproblems...at 81, and 84 respectively. We are feeling very cut offf...and unconsidered. t The Community Council have amassed a lot of evidence...in this respect... BUT Cardiff. BUS. Will NOT LISTEN!!! We are disillusioned about our BUS SERVICE. What about trying to keep cars to minimum...needs of people going tomwork...in jobs which are either voluntary...or poorly paid?

The latest cuts announced by Cardiff Bus are the 3rd in NINE months. Whilst services which are not used need curtailing, there is no consideration given to holders of concessionary passes, meaning the Welsh Assembly take the credit for a scheme which is systematically being reduced. Understand in England the susidy for such services has been reduced by 33.1/3 since 2010 according to figures from Local Government Association released some 2 weeks ago. As regards Cardiff Bus they not only reduce services, they change route numbers as well. In Whitchurch/Rhiwbina area the service 23 is being withdrawn and replaced by service 24a & 25a. These along with other route changes can only best be described as confusing., particularly to the older folk. Incidentally, according to Cardiff Councils own figures, the greatest population of older persons reside in the CF14 postal district. The cuts can only serve to isolate the older person in their community.

Careful timetabling might achieve economies, e.g. one bus an hour but 30 mins apart giving 1 bus every half hour.

Bus routes need to be preserved, not cut. I understand from drivers on the 57 & 58 routes that the buses are always full throughout the day and evening. Cut would cause problems on these routes.

As a senior citizen the bus service is a vital link for we older folk when travelling to town. The revised hourly service for Rhiwbina is totally unacceptable for older folk who rely heavily on this service for their daily travel to town, supermarkets etc.

The number 86 bus is the only bus that operates through my area, and it only runs every hour as it is. No more cuts, I rely on these buses!

Lies ane is VERY badly serviced with a buss and to cut it further is not right. We pay high rates in Lisvane and there is a lot of elderly people here.
