I have been reading through the comments all morning and honestly the stories people are sharing about why they care are just breaking my heart. It feels like such a huge thing to ask of a university which is why I am currently drafting a letter to the department head to see if they will even acknowledge the concerns we have raised.

Its 2018 people!! We dont need to kill animals to make clothes anymore. Shame on them
no reason for this. if they are creative students they will find better fabrics to use instead
Cruelty against animals and the messages fur/leather send has an unnecessary impact on animals.
Why not stick to synthetic look-a-likes. I'm surprised graduates would use fur. I thought we got past this?
Animals should never be murdered for fashion or anything else for that matter. Please stop using animal skins as there is synthetics which look far nicer than dead animals skin.
