My school is creating a fur club in which student discuss a diversity of dead animal furs/skins. Its disgusting and repulsive. Animals are not for our entertainment or comfort. NO, I dont want to see your new UGG boots.
The stories shared in the comments regarding the ethics of this club continue to reinforce why this conversation is necessary. It is becoming clear that many students feel deeply uncomfortable with the normalization of using animal remains for academic interest. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the administration to document these concerns.

Seeing the momentum develop around this issue has been a powerful reminder of how many people value kindness toward animals. This collective response confirms that my discomfort with the club is shared by a community that refuses to view living creatures as mere commodities.

This school should be ashamed. Awful. Teach the truth if the fur trade and learn to love living things. Murder isn't clothing. Corpses are not clothes.

Totally agree with this petition. There should not be a club in which people discuss about fur nor any other activity that involves killing animals

Having a dead animals skin on you is repulsive, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want a puppy's dead skin to be made so why would you want other baby animals skin on you as well?

The fur industry is horrible and the school should not support it in any shape way or form.
