These humane solutions are so simple and such a no-brainer. Yet, people seem to think that death is the solution. That more beavers will occupy the vacancy is a given, since Nature is programmed to not tolerate a vacancy, but those you tell this too simply stand there with their mouths open. They just don't understand that, the same as they don't understand after live trapping the two or three squirrels they have at their feeders, at the end of the season they have trapped over 40! Brain dead - totally. Until what is attracting so-called nuisance animals is removed, they will just keep coming. You have to work within their system - not ours.

I still remember visiting Algonquin Park as a child, and seeing my first beaver. This cruelty is absolutely repugnant. Beavers are intelligent, self-aware animals with strong family bonds. They are not predators and do not endanger humans. Our genocide, the tar sands, our military interventions, and now beaver hunting, makes me sob with embarrassment and frustration over the fact that I am a Canadian. We do not have the right to violently end another person's life. Beavers share our genes, our intelligence, our emotions, our evolutionary ancestry, our consciousness, and our need to be free, and safe, and happy. That's why I am against killing beavers, and would proudly donate to sponsor a peaceful alternative.

Please don't kill the beavers! They were here first and we have taken over their homes. I understand that it is always about "how much $$" but if the real estate transactions can go forward to build more and more subdivisions then taking humane care of transporting these animals to safer habitats or at least researching this proposed solution London has used. It isn't our right to kill these animals!!!

The City of London has hired an expert to show how to install flow devices that are humane and non-lethal. Beavers are vitally important to our wetlands. Please reconsider the use of lethal traps. I would contribute to the cost of bringing the expert from Boston!

Stop killing beavers, find another way to deal with the beaver dams. Killing innocent animals is not an answer, killing them will aventually make another wild life become extinct.
Ending one line brings worst issues into place. Like bringing in the Fischer to kill the skunk. Now people and animals are being attracked.
With all the money spent on the University due to Frosh Week and education and our high property TAXES we are paying the City of Kingston should be able find a better way to deal with any issue. We can all live together. ONE Planet!
