The killed dogs were created by GOD. As such, we must strive to help prevent any unnecessary dog deaths.

People who use any type of trap are hideous, and should die in their own trap!!

Keep our dogs safe. Ban the body-grip traps.

Please stop the use of these traps that puts our beloved pets and precious bird hunting partners in danger. If something happened to my dog this way, I would never enter your state again. I will pass the word to other hunters to be aware.

We need new laws that would prevent the use of trapping during bird seasons.

This makes perfect sense. It doesn't ask much of trappers, but it delivers a solution to a tragic problem.

there has to be a way for both trappers and hunters to get along in the woods lets all work together to protect our beloved pets

The solution would inconvenience a minority of trappers by forcing them to check their traps every day but it would protect our dogs. Governor Dayton needs to hear from dog owners and so does the DNR Commissioner Tom Landwehr [email protected]

It's terrible to know that dogs can be brutally killed by traps & snares, especially when dog-safe protections are practical and effective.

I have always been concerned about traps while out with my dog during hunting season. A typical leg trap is bad enough to worry about, but now with body grip traps your dog won't just be injured it will be killed. Our dogs deserve better. These traps should not be allowed on the ground.
