The MN trappers lobby needs to stop obstructing the bill that would protect dogs. They say that the new regulations (that they wrote) and is still killing dogs are "adequate". That's right they said the regulations are "adequate". What it comes down to is the unwillingness to share the woods.

In addition to the advised solution the trappers should be required to place some type of flag at their trap so that dog owners can be aware of the trap's presence and can take measures to avoid the trap

What were you thinking? I and some fiends had been planning to hunt MN this fall but not now. Change the law and you will see us and our $'s.

I am a grouse hunter. I will go to Wisconsin or Michigan before I subject my dog to this risk

Keep our dogs safe by simply raising or submerging your traps. Its not a hard adjustment, and it keeps our dogs safe in the field.

Make hunting season safer for dogs! With safer and more practical trapping solutions available, there is no reason we should not be implementing them!
