Stop isolating our elderly in nursing homes from their families

I feel that it would be time to facilitate the elderly and their families to accommodate visiting in a safe environment

Family testing should be compulsory to allow visits with loved ones

Value our elderly

It's a disgrace..... isolated....jailed against their will.....free the elderly....give them back their lives

Shouldn't be a government's decision on visiting. Let each nursing home decide how to have visiting done safely.

At least one family member should be allowed to visit, my heart aches for the elderly in nursing homes.

We need to see our loved ones .Safely of course we are no more of a threat than staff .They are isolated and declining in their social skills .Pubs and shops should not take priority over our most precious family

Elderly and their families deserve to see each other in person and have proper visits

These people need to be looked after within the community not locked away

As a daughter of a mother in st Vincent's hospital for just 4 weeks and know how isolating and heartbreaking this has been for all of us...I support the opening of visiting in nursing homes. Open the doors and let people see their loved ones!

My father (84) moved into a Nursing Home primarily as he was finding the isolation of living alone too much. Since September he has more or less been confined to his room all the time with the only human interaction when cleaning or catering staff come in. I ask if he would have been better off living alone.
