Parents should have rights. What normal person wouldn't agree with this?

This law is against the natural reactions of a human being, be anger, or frustration or other and give anyone the power to commit children to psychiatric care without the consent of the parents. I ask our legislators to change this law and not to commit a child to psychiatric care without the parents consent, this is vital.

This law is outrageous and it violates parental rights who are the only ones that should decide on something so serious as been taking to a psychiatric facility. This law must be changed and give parents back their rights.

Parents should absolutely know when their kids are being involuntarily examined. This is the right they have as guardians-especially when it is something this serious!

The Baker Act is being used as a disciplinary action to put kids of all ages in fear- they are hand cuffed, put into the back of a police car like a criminal and locked up for 72 hours. Parental rights are taken away. An adult would be traumatized by this and the hospitals are raking in big bucks at $4K a day doing it. It's the new scam and we are paying for it dearly. Kids won't go back to school and end up in therapy over it. The terrorizing of our kids has to end.

When The Supreme Court has ruled that there is no higher bond in our country (USA), the fact that we still have burocrats who are trying to leverage our own children against us, just goes to show - we the people, must never give up fighting the good fight.

A parent MUST be notified, regardless of what "Medical Professionals" say. Getting help is one thing. Being taken, without even notifying a parent, especially without consent, is a terrible terrible way that will destabilize mankind. This kind of barbaric behavior must be handled immediately, as well as prevented from occurring in the future.

This needs to stop. Police and school staff are not properly trained to diagnose a child with a mental disorder, much less remove them from a home with a loving and caring family!
